    How to add USB port as monitor?

    I have a projector with USB input. I can verify the USB port doing lsusb.

    How do I use this projector , connected via USB , as another monitor?

    I do not see the USB port in "settings->displays".

    @salvarore,

    I have no own experience of connecting monitors or projectors via USB. But I have read about it, I have seen discussions about it, and understand that it is not easy.

    It will help us help you, if you describe your hardware and software details: Brand name and model of the computer, graphics chip/card, kind of USB ports, and projector brand name and model.

    If you have nvidia graphics, this link which links to this link may be helpful.

    @everybody,

    If you have connected a monitor or projector via USB and made it work, please share your experience.

    Maybe you have used an adapter/cable (between different kinds of ports (for example USB-C to HDMI or HDMI to USB-C) and can share that experience.

    It can also be valuable to share the experience of a failed attempt to connect a monitor via USB.
